What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Rose Harriett, a statuesque tortie beauty with an intense stare and a cute, chirruping meow. Rosie turned 8 in December 2025. She joined our family when she and her sister came to us from a local animal rescue. Rose is very shy yet curious. She will peek from behind a corner to see what you're doing, but don't expect her to accept your invitation to join in on the fun. She doesn't enjoy being picked up, but will sit on your legs if you're in bed. She will accept affection on her own terms and only when she asks for it. She enjoys playing with a feather swatting toy, climbing her cat condo, and has never met a freeze-dried minnow she doesn't like. We love Rose, but her sister was recently diagnosed with early arthritis. Rose and her sister don’t get along (never have); Rose will chase and hit her. Rose is very skittish and will hide from any unexpected commotion. She would definitely thrive in a quiet home with no other pets.
