Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mario & Luigi – Double the Purrs, Double the Fun 🍄🐾
Mario and Luigi are 5-month-old bonded brothers who are ready to level up into their forever home — together.
Mario is the confident frontman. He was the very first to allow pets and would greet his rescuer at the car door like a tiny, whiskered concierge. He enjoys being picked up, happily leans into affection, and loves playing with other kittens. While he’s friendly with everyone, his absolute favorite companion is his spitting-image brother.
Luigi is the thoughtful observer turned cuddle convert. At first, he watched from a safe distance while Mario bravely tested out this whole “human affection” thing. But once he decided to give pets a try, he quickly realized what he’d been missing. Now he enjoys attention, loves playing, and finds comfort and confidence sticking close to Mario.
Since moving indoors, both boys have adjusted beautifully. They can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but they warm up quickly with patience, gentle handling, and a calm environment. They would thrive in a home willing to give them a little time to blossom.
They are:
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Combo test negative
✔️ Up to date on vaccines
They’re not feral — just young kittens who needed someone to show them that humans can be kind. In return, they’ll provide endless entertainment, sweet purrs, and the special joy that only a bonded pair can bring.
And now for the plot twist…
We’re actually a dog rescue.
When subfreezing temperatures hit in late January, we were busy getting dogs out of the cold — including a very pregnant mama and a stray who needed urgent help. At the same time, we learned about a group of seven kittens facing the same freezing weather. When babies need help, you don’t stop to check species. You just act.
So yes — the dog rescue has cats.
And Mario & Luigi might just be our favorite undercover mission yet. 🐱🐱

Please note that we are a volunteer run organization, and due to the large volume of applications, inquiries, phone calls, emails, and messages received we may not be able to provide a detailed, personal response to every single one. For that reason, formal applications will be given priority over the aforementioned.
Our adoption process:
Step 1: Complete application
Step 2: Your adoption coordinator will conduct a vet check to ensure your existing pets are up to date on medical needs
Step 3: If approved, you will be contacted by an adoption coordinator to schedule an initial phone screening to further discuss your needs, preferences and lifestyle as you look for a new family member
Step 4: A home check will be scheduled during which an adoption coordinator will meet with all residents of your home to identify and discuss any risks or concerns
Step 5: Upon completion of a successful home check, we will conduct a meet and greet to ensure dogs get along
Step 6: Begin 1 week sleepover with your new potential family member
