Chewy is a very sweet senior gentleman. He lived a lot of years in a commercial breeding kennel and is now getting to learn what being a dog should be all about.
We do not believe Chewy can hear much at all.
Chewy’s foster mom would describe him as an easy keeper - he’s happy to hang out and take it easy. Can you give this sweet boy a loving home to retire in?
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.
Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
