My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie is a 3-year-old McNab Border Collie, looking for a good home with some outdoor space she can run around in. She has many traits of a border collie - she likes to herd, run and be active.

Annie is an Indoor/Outdoor dog - housebroken and uses a dog door; it's important that she sleeps inside at night.

Annie has a very gentle personality. We love her very much but we must give her away because she chases the horses. We are looking to find her a good and loving home without horses. She gets along with other dogs but not cats or horses. If her adopter doesn't have a large ranch, she'll need to be fenced in.

This is a courtesy listing - Annie is not at RAIN. For information please contact:

Additional adoption info

We are in a rural location and cover a large area with small communities far apart. We tailor our adoption process to fit the needs of each adoption, whether it be a home visit or other specific situation. Adoptions are allowed to proceed only after careful checking of the situation for each animal.

RAIN Thrift store is open daily at the address above. Adopters can meet the pets there that are currently available for adoption. We're in the process of setting up with other websites to add our photos to expand coverage for our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Rescued Animals In Need is a no kill organization whose main focus is rescuing lost, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals and helping them find their forever homes. We work hard to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by providing education and financial assistance (when available) for spay/neuter programs to help prevent unwanted and uncontrolled pregnancies for animals in our communities. Including a program for the voiceless and often ignored feral cats. We have full non-profit 501(c)3 status with the State of California.
