Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location
Opal’s foster mom has shared just how special this sweet senior girl is, and now it’s our turn to help her find the forever home she deserves!
Opal originally came to us as a stray at the beginning of January. Since then, she has had surgery to remove a mass on her stomach and a cherry eye repair — and she has recovered beautifully in foster care.
This gentle senior is an absolute sweetheart. She has a calm, easygoing personality and is perfectly content spending her day snoozing in a cozy spot. She loves people and happily soaks up all the pets and attention she can get.
Good with other dogs
Good with cats
Good with kids
Appears mostly potty trained (uses a doggy door and hasn’t had accidents in several days)
If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion with the sweetest heart, Opal is your girl.
Opal is heartworm positive and will need ongoing care, but we will assist with treatment when she is brought in. Her adoption fee is $200.
Opal is available for adoption through Daviess County It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue.
Apply to adopt and give this precious senior the soft landing she deserves.
All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
