My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ozzy is a handsome black male, approximately 2-3 years old, and a former feral who has blossomed beautifully into indoor life. This bright, gentle-natured boy has proven that with patience and love, even cats who've known only the streets can become wonderful companions.

Don't let his feral past fool you; Ozzy is outgoing, relaxed, and gets along famously with everyone he meets. He's curious about the world around him and approaches new experiences with an open mind (though he's decided the vacuum and fast-moving feet aren't for him!). His best friendship with Atlas is the stuff of legend; the two are inseparable, spending their days sumo wrestling and cuddling together in equal measure.

Ozzy is remarkably well-mannered with excellent litter box habits, and he's shown absolutely no interest in returning to his rough outdoor life. When he greets you, he does so with the most polite, endearing meow you'll ever hear. While he can be cautious with newcomers at first, his silly, playful personality quickly emerges once he feels comfortable.

This intelligent boy thrives on petting (belly rubs included!), engaging playtime, and mental stimulation—he has so much intellect and heart to share. What's particularly impressive is his gentle play style with humans; he's always mindful and never uses his claws, showing just how much he's learned about trust and kindness.

Ozzy would be perfect for someone patient and understanding who can appreciate his journey from feral to fabulous. He's proof that every cat deserves a chance, and he's ready to reward his forever family with loyalty, affection, and endless entertainment. Ozzy is bonded with Atlas and the two must be adopted together.

Ozzy is FIV positive, but that should not affect his ability to live in a home with other cats as long as introductions are slow. He is bonded with Atlas, who does not have FIV. To learn more about FIV, please read: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-infection
