Bailey’s Story - Bailey’s senior owner passed away in January 2026. The family is unable to keep her and plans to euthanize her on 2/28 if a foster or adopter is not found.
About Bailey:
Bailey is a 6-year-old female yellow Lab mix who has spent her entire life with one senior woman. She walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and has a very friendly temperament. She is fully housetrained with no potty accidents and does not chew or destroy items in the home. While she can sleep in a kennel, her owner did not find it necessary.
Labradors live an average of 12 yrs, so Ms. Bailey has a many great years and love to offer.
Bailey has not lived with cats, children, or other dogs. At a recent vet visit, she was nervous around other dogs but did not show aggression or fear. She may do best in a quieter home similar to what she has always known.
Vetting:
Bailey is current on vaccinations (2/12/26), heartworm negative, and recently received flea prevention. She still needs to be spayed. Our rescue will cover the spay once we secure a foster or adopter.
Bailey must be placed in the DFW area or surrounding cities. Adopters must be 25 years or older. We will consider all foster applications, with preference for a quieter home.
