Harmonious is a pretty relaxed senior fella. He mostly likes to just be relaxing in a cozy spot, sometimes on his own but often around you. He likes to hang out on the couch with you when you relax and he spends most of the night sleeping beside your pillow. He likes regular scratches (especially on his face) and will routinely stop by and demand some attention before settling down with you or moving on. He isn't a fan of being held or sitting on laps, but he will happy sit with you and lean against you while receiving some pets.
Harmonious also likes to get in a little playtime. He will sometimes play on his own but really loves when you play with him with a cat wand. Even just 5 minutes once or twice a day is a good way for him to get some energy out and have fun. He's very comfortable around people but he also likes the calm and quiet so he will disappear to a cozy spot out of the way if there’s a lot of noise or activity. He will be happy to meet friends if it’s not too noisy or hectic though.
Harmonious has been a bit of a picky eater. So far he has not taken to any wet foods but has settled on Whiskas dry food. It would be good to try to get him on a better food once he's in his forever home. He has excellent litter box habits and uses a scratching post like a true gentleman. He has not been around other animals so it’s unknown how he would respond to other cats.
Harmonious is a wonderful, easygoing companion. He just wants a calm home where he can rest in peace and get all the face scratchies he wants and deserves.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $250.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $250 per adult cat, and $330 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $250.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $192.50 per cat vs. $385 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
