Maximus is a senior boy with a young spirit. He has been a loyal boy for the last 12 years of our lives, and we want him to finish out the last of his years with lots of cuddles, walks, and treats.
The decision to rehome our sweet boy has not been easy, but is necessary for the wellbeing of our growing family. Maximus can be anxious and protective of his food bowl, which we have managed until recently when our baby became mobile. He has never been aggressive with my husband or I, but should only be in a home with adults or children over 8 years old. He does not get along with other dogs due to a lack of socialization early in his life. He is also nervous around the vacuum. He does, however, live with our cat peacably.
Max is an absolute people lover. He is active, goofy, and obedient. He is in great health for his age and well house trained. He responds to commands. We will desperately miss our good boy, but we know there is better out there for his final years!
