My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cher is a remarkable mama dog with a heart as big as her journey. Found roaming the streets of Morrilton, AR, she was desperately searching for food—not just for herself, but for the eight puppies she had bravely delivered and sheltered inside a culvert. Even in the toughest circumstances, her devotion never wavered. Now safe and thriving, Cher has blossomed into an incredibly social, affectionate companion. She adores people, gets along beautifully with kids, and is friendly with other dogs and even cats. Her sweet, loving nature makes her the kind of dog who bonds deeply and brings warmth wherever she goes. Cher is an active girl who loves long walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. She’s clever and determined, which means she can dig out of a fence if she’s bored or under‑exercised. A home that can give her daily activity, enrichment, and secure supervision will help her shine. She’s ready for a family who appreciates her resilience, her gentle spirit, and her zest for life. After everything she’s survived, Cher deserves a home where she’ll be cherished just as fiercely as she once protected her puppies.

Additional adoption info

Our dogs are special to us, so we do check references and may require home checks for adopters. Most of our dogs come from kill shelters, dumped or abused. Some maybe needy or in need of training.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the medical needs of the dog and cover all shots up to date according to the age of the dog, all required testing for diseases, spay or neutering of dogs (age appropriate), micro-chipped and transport fees (if we transport the dog).

We required a submitted application along with 3 non-related references. Please be patient, we are an all volunteer organization, we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Go meet their pets

We have events in Central Arkansas area and New England area. We operate through dedicated fosters. If you are not in Central Arkansas we can send you video or even do face time to allow you to see how the dog interacts with other dogs and fosters. We also can do live video with Periscope application for smart phones.

If the dog is not in your area we can transport to a local foster in your area. Transport usually takes 3-5 days depending on your location and method of transport.

More about this rescue

We're an all volunteer group of concerned citizens committed to animals in need of rescue. We are passionate about spaying/neutering to end unnecessary euthanasia due to pet over-population. We rescue from local high kill shelters and abandoned dogs. To adopt go to http://www.kcpetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
