My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SCOOTER PIE, a handsome male brown-and-black tabby kitten, is a real sweetie pie. He loves playing and cuddling with his brother, DUMP TRUCK, and enjoys the company of people as well. Scooter Pie will come up to greet you with a friendly meow. While it initially took him a little time to warm up to new people and situations, once he did, Scooter Pie proved that he’s eager to show off his sweet and playful personality. Although he’s curious about open doors, he never wanders far and is easy to corral back inside. He doesn’t want to stray too far from the comforts of home, his brother, and the humans who love and feed him. Scooter Pie was brought to our cat rescue when his owner was unable to care for him. As an active, young kitten, it's important that Scooter Pie be adopted into a home with another kitten or playful young cat. Since he gets along well with his brother, they may enjoy going home together. Scooter Pie is sure to bring fun and love into your home.

SCOOTER PIE has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Scooter Pie in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $175 ($320/2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
