Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bear 💛
Bear is a beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd with the classic brains and loyalty this breed is known for. He’s incredibly sweet, people-oriented, and loves being part of the action. If you’re looking for a true companion dog who bonds deeply with his family, Bear is your guy.
He thrives on routine, interaction, and having a “job” to do — whether that’s going on walks, learning new tricks, playing with another dog, or simply being your shadow around the house. Aussies are intelligent and active, and Bear is no exception. He would do best in a home that understands the breed and can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation.
🐶 Personality
• Friendly and affectionate
• Dog social
• Loyal and attentive
• Medium–high energy
• Smart and eager to learn
He would love a home with another playful dog companion, especially another Aussie or active breed.
🩺 Medical
Bear is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be microchipped prior to adoption. He has been examined by our veterinary partners and is ready for his forever home.
⸻
💛 Adoption Information
Bear is being adopted through Scarlett’s Pawberry Rescue Inc., a small foster-based nonprofit rescue located in Davie, FL.
Adoption Fee: $400
This fee helps cover:

Additional adoption info
Scarlett’s Pawberry Rescue Inc. is a foster-based, no-kill rescue located in South Florida. Our animals live in loving homes, not kennels. We are committed to placing each pet in a safe, stable, and lifelong home.
📝 1. Adoption Application
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. This allows us to understand your lifestyle, home environment, and experience with pets.
📞 2. Screening & Review
Applications are reviewed carefully and may include:
• Veterinary reference check
• Landlord approval (if renting)
• Personal reference check
• Review of past and current pet history
🐶 3. Meet & Greet
Approved applicants will be invited to schedule a meet-and-greet with the pet. Since we are foster-based, all meetings are by appointment.
🏡 4. Home Check (When Applicable)
Some adoptions may require a virtual or in-person home check to ensure safety and proper environment.
A fenced yard is not required for all dogs; however, certain dogs may have specific needs depending on energy level and temperament.
💰 5. Adoption Fee & Contract
Adoption fees vary depending on the dog and help cover medical care, vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter expenses.
All adopters must sign an adoption contract. Medical records will be provided at the time of adoption.
🌎 Out-of-State Adoptions
We do consider out-of-state adoptions. Additional screening and transportation arrangements may apply.
❤️ Our Commitment
We believe in full transparency regarding medical and behavioral history. Some dogs may require experienced handlers or structured environments.
If at any time an adopter can no longer keep their pet, the animal must be returned to Scarlett’s Pawberry Rescue Inc.
We reserve the right to deny any application if we believe it is not in the best interest of the animal.

More about this rescue
Scarlett’s Pawberry Rescue Inc. is a family-run, foster-based, no-kill rescue located in South Florida. Our animals live in loving homes, not kennels, allowing us to truly understand their personalities, behavior, and individual needs before adoption.
Founded by the family behind Scarlett’s Pet Sitting LLC, our rescue was born from years of hands-on professional pet care. Through daily boarding, drop-ins, and working closely with dogs of all temperaments, we saw firsthand how many animals needed more than temporary care — they needed second chances.
We focus on responsible placements, medical transparency, and honest communication with adopters. Every animal in our care receives age-appropriate veterinary care and individualized support in a structured home environment.
As a small foster-based rescue, we rely on community support to continue saving lives. Adoption fees and donations go directly toward medical care, food, supplies, and rehabilitation.
We believe rescue is not just about placement — it’s about commitment, education, and lifelong responsibility.
At Scarlett’s Pawberry Rescue Inc., we don’t just find homes. We build families.
