If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Remi over a year ago from a shelter. We wanted a companion for our dachshund. Remi was 1 year when we adopted her and is 2 now. She is a very sweet girl with but has increasingly started to dominate our dachshund. She will attack him with no warning. No bites but our other dogs is now very scared of her and we have to keep them apart not supervised which is stressful for both dogs.
She is medium/small mix of poodle/Pekinese and chihuahua.
She sleeps in her crate at night with no problems. Only barks if someone is at the door or if she feels nervous on a walk with other dogs.
Remi would be so lovely as a solo pet with someone who is active and has time to train her properly.
She still has some training needs like pulling on the lead and sit commands, but she is still young and very smart and loves belly rubs and being the centre of attention. We feel awful that it has not worked out and she deserves to be happy as does our other dog.
