Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Bloomington, MN
September has been an absolute blast to have around. We are loving getting to know her more and more everyday! We have two kids 11 and 4 and they absolutely adore her, she's been the sweetest girl. She's so gentle and loving. She had two litters of puppies and you can definitely tell, she's such a mama, so loving towards kids. No negative reactions to them playing, jumping, screaming, running around, etc.
She doesn't really care for toys, she has a few that she doesn't really play with, if she does, it's for a short amount of time. So, there will be no need to break the bank on dog toys for this girl.
She's great in the kennel, no barking or whining, she just lays down and rests. She doesn't prefer it, she'd rather cuddle up on the couch, but if it makes you happy, she will comply.
She does great on the leash, minimal pulling. Which is great considering she's not used to being on a leash. She loves to explore! She would thrive best in a home with a big fenced in backyard, but if you don't have one, it's not a deal breaker. She doesn't love squirrels, what dog does?! I'm sure she used to chase them in her past.
Her demeanor and attitude couldn't be more mellow, she's such a love bug. She'll cuddle with you on the couch for hours or you can take her on a 3 mile walk and she'll lead the pack the whole way.
One thing I will say about September, is that she doesn't listen to commands, I've been working on this with her. She doesn't know "No" "Sit" "Stay" "Come" "Stop/Wait" etc. It's probably because she hasn't had someone using these words with her for the last two years or so of her life, so she would benefit from some training in that area. Otherwise, she is quite literally the perfect dog.
We've been so lucky to house her thus far, we will miss her, but I just know she'll be a great addition to a family in the near future!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
