Romeo Has Arrived in Wisconsin – Now Looking for His Forever Home
Romeo made it out of the Arkansas kill shelter just in time and safely arrived in Wisconsin on 2/14/26. He is now settling into his foster home in Racine, WI and is doing super well!
Meet Romeo
Romeo is an approximately 6-month-old Border Collie mix who has already overcome more than most dogs his age. He was found as a tiny stray and had been in a kill shelter in Arkansas since he was just 5 weeks old. Recently, he was scheduled for euthanasia but was thankfully tagged in the nick of time and given the second chance he deserved.
Despite spending nearly his whole life in a shelter, Romeo is a happy, easygoing guy with a gentle and friendly personality. He loves people, does well with other dogs, and enjoys attention and affection.
Romeo is working on all of the puppy stuff — potty training, crate training, and leash manners — and is making great progress in foster care. Like any young pup, he will need continued guidance and consistency, but he is adaptable, eager to learn, and has a wonderful temperament that makes him a joy to have around.
