Plato and his brother Socrates were dumped by their.... owners at the shelter in Lufkin, TX. They can be adopted together or separately.
They are approx 59 pounds each, good with dogs and people. If you need cat tested, just ask us, we can do that!

We are trying to save as many of the Kurth Memorial Shelter dogs/pups as we can, in Lufkin, TX.
Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess but him and his brother certainly look like labs!. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs.
He and/or his brother will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to OR and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to OR).

You must first apply, we work on approving the application, then we set up meets to adopt. Yes we also pre adopt dogs and puppies directly from the rescue. All have a trial period. You can ask us how that works.
We always have over 100 dogs and puppies available at any given time. FYI, we rarely if ever have kittens/cats to adopt. We do NOT take in any local dogs. We are fosters for rescues in TX and foster their dogs/cats whose behavior and medical we know.

We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several TX rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!
