My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Whiskey, the delightfully big-boned boy with the most hilariously serious expression you’ve ever seen. One glance at that stoic little face and you might expect a dignified, reserved gentleman… but Whiskey is actually pure sunshine wrapped in fur. His story begins on a freezing night — he and his foster sister were heartbreakingly left in a cardboard box beside a liquor store dumpster during a snowstorm. Yet the moment Whiskey arrived somewhere warm, with food and blankets, he didn’t hide or cower. He stepped out, looked around, and chose joy. He has been filling every room with that joy ever since.

Whiskey would thrive in just about any loving home. He has done beautifully with other cats, has shown little interest in dogs, and has been adored by respectful children. He is easygoing, cheerful, and remarkably well-mannered — never hissy, never swatty, just endlessly friendly and affectionate. Most importantly, Whiskey shares a very special bond with his sister, Brandy, and they must be adopted together. Their connection is undeniable, and they bring comfort, companionship, and confidence to one another. This charming duo would be an incredible match for first-time cat owners or a family looking for double the love and personality.

Whiskey is the definition of a social butterfly. He adores people and wastes no time making friends, greeting everyone within seconds as if he’s been waiting all day just to see you. And once you’re within earshot, prepare yourself — Whiskey doesn’t simply meow, he trills. Constantly. Happily. Enthusiastically. He will chat with you about your day, your plans, and probably your snack choices, tail held high and vibrating with excitement.

Whiskey is still discovering the magic of toys. He is absolutely smitten with crinkle balls, proudly batting them across the room, chasing them down hallways, and triumphantly carrying them around in his mouth. Sometimes they get stuck in corners, which only adds to the adventure.

When playtime winds down, Whiskey transforms into an expert napper, often found snoozing in wonderfully strange positions. His favorite place to sleep is right beside his person, occasionally peeking up or gently extending a paw as if to say, “Just confirming you’re still here. Carry on.” He loves affection and is wonderfully cuddly, happily accepting pets and even being picked up — though he strongly prefers to be held like a human baby, legs wrapped around you for maximum comfort. If he feels you’re not providing sufficient attention, he will politely press his tiny pink nose directly into your face, a tactic that is extremely effective.

Whiskey and Brandy are ready to fill a lucky home with laughter, cuddles, and nonstop personality. If you’re looking for not just one incredible cat but an inseparable pair of joyful, loving companions, this charming duo is ready to become your happily-ever-after.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
