Meet Gilbert – Professional Bouncing Bean

Gilbert is a 6-month-old pittie with springs for legs and joy for days. This handsome local surrender is equal parts wiggle butt and cuddle bug, and he hasn’t met a stranger he didn’t immediately assume was his new best friend. Big dogs? Yes please. Tiny chihuahuas? Already living with two and doing great. We even think he’d likely do fine with dog-savvy cats, especially ones who won’t be impressed by his enthusiastic “HI HELLO LET’S PLAY” energy.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: yes, Gilbert can clear a baby gate. Effortlessly. Like an adorable, block-headed gazelle. He’s athletic, curious, and always ready for action, which means he’ll need a secure setup and a family committed to giving him exercise, structure, and continued training. He’s still a baby and very much in the “manners are optional” phase of life, but he’s smart, eager to please, and ready to learn. With consistency and guidance, this bouncing bean will grow into an incredible companion.
