My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adorable scruffy puppy CALLOWAY is here to steal your heart away. Calloway is a darling little 3 month old terrier mix puppy. He's fun and feisty and playful and cuddly, basically your perfect puppy. He loves toys. Calloway is currently just 7 pounds, our best estimate is that he will grow up to be an 18-20 pound adult dog. Calloway has long legs and a bob tail. We aren't sure what breeds are in the mix. Our vet says wire haired terrier, Siri says border terrier, he has Yorkie colors. Whatever the mix, he's simply adorable. Lively little Calloway needs a home where he will have a playful doggie sibling. He likes to cuddle but Calloway is not about that lap dog lifestyle, he needs to run and play and be silly. All puppies require training to become well-mannered family members. He's crate trained, sleeps through the night and doing very well on housebreaking. Calloway needs a home with an adopter willing to spend time training him. If you'd like to meet Calloway, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. Calloway needs a home in the greater Cincinnati area to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee.
Calloway will go to a home on an extended trial basis. His adoption will be finalized when the vetting covered by his adoption fee is completed. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Additional adoption info

DOGS

We have two ways to adopt a dog:

1) Foster to adopt. You are permitted to take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week at your home. We can loan you a wire crate for the trial period. This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then the following weekend you can finalize the adoption at one of our adoption events. If no, then you return the dog to us at one of our adoption events and you are welcome to try a different dog. You will need to complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption.

2) Outright Adoption. If you're sure you've found the right dog, you complete the necessary paperwork, pay the adoption fee in full (cash, check, or credit card only) and take the dog home. You receive all the dogs health records that we have available to us.

Our dog adoption fee is $225 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies. Fee INCLUDES: the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.

More about this rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes to house our adoptable dogs and cats.

Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthanasia lists to rescue those that are not selected.
