Meet Tripp
Hi there! I’m Tripp, a one-year-old black Lab weighing in around 55 pounds of wiggles, leans, and good intentions. I’m the kind of guy who believes personal space is optional and that sitting next to you is nice, but sitting on you is even better. Belly rubs? Yes please. Ear scratches? Absolutely. Couch snuggles? Count me in.
I love getting out for walks and adventures, and I’ll be honest—I’m strong on leash and still figuring out my manners when something exciting pops up. I’m super food-motivated and eager to learn, though, so with a confident handler, a front-clip harness, and some positive training, I’m making great progress.
Fetch is one of my favorite games, and I’m always happy to retrieve toys, chase balls, or work on enrichment like scent games, foraging, and stuffed Kongs. I’m an athletic guy who needs daily activity, but once I’ve burned off my energy, I’m very good at switching into relax mode once exercised and hanging out nearby.
I’m friendly and social and enjoy playtime with my dog buddies who match my vibe. My play style is loose, polite, and easygoing—I’m not pushy and I read other dogs well. With people, I’m all tail wags, happy leans, and kisses. New places and sudden noises can catch me off guard at first, but a little reassurance helps me bounce back quickly.
My dream home includes an active person or family, a fenced yard, and someone who enjoys training, playing, and laughing at a little Lab goofiness. A friendly dog friend would be great, but I’m also happy being your one and only.
