Meet Jasper
Jasper is a handsome 3-ish year old gray shorthaired boy whose story almost went in a very different direction. He came to me in a trap during a TNR session — but unlike the quiet, terrified feral cats we usually see, Jasper had a lot to say about the situation. His loud, opinionated protests are what saved him from being returned outside.
No microchip was found, and neighbors shared that he had been wandering the area for at least a year. They even nicknamed him “Speedy” because he was so quick to dash off when startled. Life on the streets taught him to be cautious — but underneath that survival instinct is a truly sweet, affectionate boy.
Jasper has a big personality and isn’t shy about expressing himself. If he disapproves of something or feels cooped up too long, he’ll let you know. He can get a little overstimulated in tight spaces, and sometimes he even hisses when he’s excited — we think it’s just his very honest way of communicating!
