GSGSR foster dogs are rescued from shelters and pounds in New Jersey where most were facing euthanasia or through our owner referral or surrender program.
They are fully vetted, brought up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. They live with our volunteers in a foster home so we can evaluate them before they are offered for adoption. This allows us time to get to know the shepherd so that we can make the best match with their new home.
Our adoption process includes and filling out an adoption application form on our website at www.gsgsr.org. We require 3 references as well as a vet reference if you have an animal. We conduct a phone interview and home visit and then match up the best available dog that matches the applicant's needs.
