On one of those January nights when Detroit was the coldest place on earth, this fluffy cat showed up on our porch. He was matted, dirty, smelly, & scrawny under the floof, but he was affectionate, trusting, & well acquainted with Churu and litter boxes; we were sure someone in the neighborhood was fretting about him. Over the last month we bathed him, had him treated by our vet & worked on beefing him up, & no one has come forward for this guy. This is Dimitri. He's about two. Super people-y, super chill, gets along beautifully with other cats. I haven't seen him interact with kids but I'm guessing by his gentleness and ease with being handled that he'd be good with them. If you're into bougie designer stuff, the vet says he might be a Turkish Van. Fixed, vaccinated, FIV & FeLV-negative. He's a small guy: just shy of 9 pounds. Still on his glow up and getting more majestically fluffy by the day.
