Mr. Johnny Talker Black showed up in our back yard about 2.5 years ago. We took care of him outside and brought him into the house with our two other cats last summer. He has a wonderful personality, but he is not meant to be a 100% indoor cat -he yearns for outdoor adventure as much as he does pets, a full belly, and warm bed. We do not live in an environment that is safe for an outdoor cat, and we did not want to risk him bringing in disease to our two 100% indoor cats. We tried to compromise by harness training him (which went well!), but it is still not enough freedom and time outside for his liking. We tried Prozac to calm him during this transition, but it's not what he needs. We love Mr. Black so much and want to keep him, but he isn't happy here. As much as it breaks our hearts, we want him to live his best life. Looking for a quiet suburban environment where he can roam free, but can still come in to curl up on the couch and get pets whenever he likes. A very healthy boy.
