My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Autumn is a beautiful 2-year old female Hound/Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 4, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Colegate Drive in Marietta Ohio. Autumn was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.

Autumn was very pregnant when she entered our shelter, and we knew that she would soon be giving birth to several puppies based upon her size.

Our HSOV managers and kennel techs kept a close eye on Autumn, and she had several mid-wives when she gave birth to 11 puppies on November 10th 2025 (six little boys and five little girls). Sadly one of her female puppies (Cocoa) did not survive and passed away on November 12th.

Momma Autumn has a brown short smooth coat with a large vertical white patch on her chest, white toes on her left front paw, a long tail, and an adorable face with expressive brown eyes, black shading on her long muzzle, and short floppy/semi-erect ears.

Autumn was a good mother to her babies and raised 10 happy, healthy, playful puppies including:

Six males: Acorn, Ash, Boo, Branch, Red, and Rusty.

Four females: Cider, Clove, Harvest, and Sage.

The puppies' physical appearances resemble various breeds including: Hound, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, and Terrier.

Most of the puppies have very large paws and will likely be fairly big dogs when they reach maturity.

HSOV is currently accepting adoption applications for Autumn and her ten puppies .. And they will be showcased in an adoption event at WeLovPets (Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio) on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
