My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goldie’s personality matches her unique dilute tortie coat perfectly. She’s got that classic tortitude dialed all the way up, but in the most endearing way. She knows who she is and she’s not afraid to show it. One minute she’s serving sass, the next she’s a full blown biscuit making machine, kneading away like it’s her full time job.

She’s tolerant of being picked up and handled, especially when it’s on her terms. She does well with respectful feline companions, but truthfully she’d probably thrive as someone’s one and only, soaking up all the attention and ruling her kingdom with those extra adorable toes.

More about this rescue

Whiskered Away is a small, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) rescue rooted in Philadelphia and built entirely on heart. Founded in 2026 by longtime animal advocates, we came together after seeing too many cats - and too many caregivers - falling through the cracks.

Our work centers on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), caring for community cats, ethical rescue, and education. We believe in meeting animals where they are, supporting the people who love them, and creating sustainable, compassionate solutions that make a lasting difference.

We may be small, but every life we touch matters deeply to us. We grow intentionally, never losing sight of the personal commitment behind each rescue. Volunteers, fosters, adopters, and donations are what make this work possible. Every foster home creates space for healing. Every adopter gives a cat the safety and love they deserve. And every contribution helps us continue providing consistent, responsible care for the animals that depend on us.
