My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oreo— A Tiny Lagatto with a BIG Lovebug Heart!
3-month-old male Lagotto Romagnolo
Fostered in Bellmawr, NJ

If you’ve been dreaming of a puppy who’s more sweet cuddle buddy than wild tornado… Oreo might be your perfect match

Oreo is the definition of a gentle little shadow pup — he LOVES being close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. His favorite place? Wherever you are. And when it’s time to relax, he’ll be your best friend on the couch, snuggled up and soaking in all the love

He’s also a total snow baby — Oreo LOVES being outside, playing and munching on the snow like it’s the greatest treat ever

Oreo’s Personality

Oreo is:
Sweet
Smart
Affectionate
Calm and gentle
A little “velcro puppy” who doesn’t love being alone

He’s not overly energetic — he’s more of a laid-back puppy who enjoys playtime in short bursts, then goes right back to cuddling near his favorite humans.

Favorite Things

Tug-of-war (his FAVORITE game!)
Cuddling on the couch
Playing outside (and eating snow!)
Playing with other puppies his size
Being pet — the more affection, the better

Oreo is Great With:

Dogs (especially pups his size!)
Older kids
Adults
Men & women

Cats: unknown
Small kids: not sure yet

Training & Home Life

Oreo is a smart boy and already knows:
Sit
Come

He’s currently:
• Working hard on house training
• Not crate trained — he prefers sleeping on her cozy doggy bed
• Still learning about treats (he’s getting there!)
• Not sure about leash walking yet (it’s been cold!)

And like any puppy, he’s teething — so yes, he may try to “taste test” your shoes (typical baby behavior!)

Oreo’s Ideal Home

Oreo would LOVE a home where someone is around most of the day — he’s happiest when she has people close by

Another dog is not required, but he’d enjoy a playful pup her size!

Oreo is the kind of puppy who will grow into the most loyal, loving companion — the one who curls up beside you, looks at you like you’re his whole world, and makes your home feel warmer just by being in it

Oreo is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and a neuter deposit is required for adoption. He is available for adoption in NJ and the surrounding area.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are with fosters on the east coast. The location in which the foster resides should be listed with each profile.

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
