If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Taka is a 6 year old Kishu. I got him from when he was a puppy. He is extremely friendly towards people but can get into it with other dogs. I'm rehoming him for a couple of reasons:
1. I live in a high rise. He is much happier with a yard that he can run around it. I have seen him be much happier when he goes to Rovers or friends with yards.
2. I have a busy job and I cannot give him as much attention as he deserves. I travel frequently.
3. He is extremely noise sensitive. Fireworks, thunder, gunshots, all set him off and gives him the shakes. He probably would benefit heavily from a quieter, suburban home.
4. His stomach is extremely sensitive. But he loves to get into the trash and eat things that upsets his stomach and gives him diarrhea. He'll also randomly find things outside to eat. I then have to walk him throughout the night to keep him from going in the apartment.
But he is an extremely affectionate dog. I believe an appropriate, loving home exists out there for him!
