My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TEXAS. HER ADOPTION DONATION IS $475 AND INCLUDES TRANSPORT. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO AS IT INCLUDES INFORMATION AS TO OUR SCREENING PROCESS.

***Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time***

We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.

Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.

Teddy, 3 years old, neutered male, Goldendoodle, 62 pounds. He is in a foster home in AUSTIN, TEXAS and can transport to an adopter once approved.

Meet Teddy — Your Toy-Tossing, Tail-Wagging Best Friend! 🐾

Teddy is a big, lovable boy with a playful spirit, a soft heart, and a personality that keeps everyone smiling. He’s the perfect mix of independent entertainer and affectionate companion — happy to toss his toys around the yard by himself, but always checking to make sure his favorite human is watching his performance. If you sit outside with him, he’ll happily show off his toy-flinging skills for 10+ minutes at a time!

Personality & Charm
Teddy is playful, curious, smart, affectionate, and a little silly. He loves attention and will gently demand pets by resting his head in your lap or pawing at you. While he isn’t overly cuddly, he absolutely thrives on affection and being near his people. He’s friendly and polite when meeting strangers on walks, but when guests come to the door, he gets so excited that he may bark and jump up to say hello — he just can’t contain his enthusiasm!

Energy & Exercise
Teddy has a moderate-to-high energy level and does best with two walks a day. He loves walks and struts proudly in his harness. He may pull a little at first while he sniffs and takes care of business, but once he’s done, he settles into a calm, easy stride beside you. Bonus tip from his foster: letting him spend a little time in the yard before walks makes leash time even smoother.

Home Life

Fully house-trained ✔️

Crate-trained and sleeps well overnight ✔️

Can be left alone for a few hours ✔️

Rides great in the car ✔️

If left loose, Teddy may do a little counter-surfing or investigate trash cans for “treasures,” so a tidy home and continued training will set him up for success.

Other Animals
Teddy has been in a couple of our foster homes. The prior foster home has female dogs and he did great playing with all of them. He is very typical doodle energy and loves to play, run around etc. If another dog in the home, we would recommend one who is active or does not mind very playful energy. On walks, he shows friendly curiosity toward other dogs and will gently pull to say hi with a wagging tail. His behavior around cats is unknown.

Kids
Teddy's previous home had young children, but he does not currently reside with any children in his foster home. Because he’s a big, excited guy, he may accidentally knock over very small children, so he may be best suited for a home with older kids.

Training Goals
Teddy is a smart boy who will thrive with guidance. He’s currently working on:

Polite greetings (less jumping)

Recall skills

Settling on cue

Door manners

He responds well to correction and redirection, showing great potential to keep learning.

Fun Teddy Facts 🐶

Expert splooter when he lies down

Makes the cutest little “woof-grumble” when dinner is coming

Obsessed with his leash (walk time = best time!)

Stairs are his personal racetrack

Ideal Home
Teddy would shine in a moderately active home with space to stretch his legs — ideally a yard where he can play and explore. He’d love a family or couple who will give him attention, structure, and lots of love. Someone home more often would be a bonus, but not required.

Teddy is a joyful, goofy, affectionate companion just waiting for someone to see how special he is. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will make you laugh daily and love you endlessly, Teddy might just be your perfect match. 🧡
