My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Appa. He’s a 7 year old Bombay shorthaired cat with the loudest purr you’ve ever heard. I swear you can feel it through your whole body. He’s a little chunky, eats about half a cup of food a day (plus whatever he steals from his brothers bowl).
Appa is a quiet, chill cat. He loves a calm house. He’ll happily sit in your lap while you watch TV or read and just cuddle up. He’s loyal, sweet, and honestly the best cat. The reason we have to rehome him is because of stress. My daughter is 2½ and on the spectrum, and no matter what we’ve tried, we can’t get her to consistently respect his space. We even gave him his own getaway room, but it hasn’t been enough. When Appa gets stressed he develops cystitis, which is a urinary issue that can cause blockages. Blockages can be life threatening, so this isn’t something we can ignore. His health has to come first. Appa needs a calm, loving, household. No toddlers, no aggressive animals. Just a chill home with lots of love.
