--------------------------------------------
Background
Blanco was rescued from a city pound in Miryang in August 2025. After his rescue, he stayed at our partner boarding facility, where he lived peacefully while waiting for his forever family. During that time, he showed everyone what a steady and gentle boy he truly is. Now he is ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a loving family.

Personality and Socialization
Blanco is a sweet, affectionate, and well mannered young boy. Born in 2024, he is still youthful but carries himself with a calm and gentle presence. He has a medium energy level and enjoys daily walks and playtime, but he also knows how to relax quietly by your side.

He is very comfortable with people and does not show shyness toward men, women, or new faces. He greets everyone with a gentle and friendly attitude. With other dogs, Blanco is very social and easygoing. He gets along well even with small dogs and shows wonderful manners. He especially prefers dogs who are not aggressive and who have calm personalities like his own. He is a big hearted boy.

Behaviours
Blanco is a well behaved and easy companion. He prefers to do his business outdoors and has good bathroom habits. He walks nicely on leash and enjoys his time outside. He rides well in the car and remains calm during trips.

He behaves very well at the vet and during bath time. He does not show unusual barking, and when left alone in a separate space, he stays quiet and settled. He does not have a habit of chewing or destroying things. Overall, he is a steady and dependable dog who makes life easy for his people.

Health and Diet
Blanco is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is dewormed and takes monthly parasite preventatives. He previously received treatment for heartworm and has fully recovered. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He shows no signs of allergies. He eats kibble twice a day.

Ideal Home
Blanco would do well in many types of families thanks to his gentle and adaptable nature. He would be a wonderful companion for first time dog parents or families looking for a second dog. He would especially thrive in a home that offers regular walks, companionship, and a calm environment.

Blanco is a loving and loyal boy who simply wants to belong. Whoever welcomes him home will gain a steady, affectionate friend who will stay by their side for years to come.

More about this rescue

Free Korean Dogs is a registered charity founded in 2015 with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever-loving homes for dogs saved from the Korean dog meat trade.

We divide our mission across three basic pillars: RESCUE, ADOPT, and ENGAGE.

Since 2015, we’ve made huge advances in all three areas, shutting down three dog meat farm operations, facilitating the adoption of 1,800 rescue dogs, and launching Freedom Walk, our annual event to raise public awareness about the Korean dog meat trade:

RESCUE
Our organization has made significant strides in rescuing dogs from the dog meat trade, high-kill shelters and other high-risk conditions in Korea. We shut down dog meat farms and liberated over 500 dogs from unbearable suffering and despair.

ADOPT
Through our unwavering commitment, we have found forever-loving homes for more than 1,800 dogs rescued from brutal circumstances. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to rehabilitate these animals and find them a new life filled with love and care.

ENGAGE
Our mission extends beyond rescue and adoption; we are dedicated to building a compassionate community. Through educational campaigns and events, we engage with individuals and organizations to create a cultural shift from cruelty to compassion.
