My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fenris
Fenris is our almost four year old chihuahua mix that recently came to HAP when his previous owner could no longer care for him. Since he's spent his entire life in a loving home, he's struggled adjusting to the stress of shelter life. In typical chihuahua fashion, he's nervous when meeting new people but with some time, patience, and treats, he does warm up and turns into a little bundle of love. Fenris was under socialized growing up so he would do best as the only animal in the home. We've seen glimpses of Fenris's loving and playful personality but he's looking for an adopter that will give him the time and space to understand him and earn his trust. We'll continue to update Fenris as he settles in and we get to know him more!

***Fenris needs to be the only animal in the home and needs to be an adult only home.***

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process
is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this
specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you
to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the
meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption
fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal
testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
