When she first arrived at the shelter, she was very timid and unsure of the world around her. Once she trusts you, Dorcas absolutely adores attention. She loves being pet and will sit as close as physically possible, soaking up every bit of affection. If you dare to stop, she’ll gently nudge her nose under your hand as a polite (but persistent!) reminder to keep the love coming. Her sweet, quiet devotion makes you feel truly special. Dorcas has a playful side too. While she’s not over-the-top about toys, she does show a particular interest in tennis balls—she may not throw a party over them, but she certainly appreciates a classic! When it comes to treats, Dorcas has refined taste. She’s a bit of a connoisseur and will thoughtfully consider your offering before accepting. (Pro tip: bring out the gourmet goodies and you’ll win her heart.) On leash, Dorcas is a dream. She walks beautifully and especially enjoys long “sniff-a-thons,” taking her time to investigate every bush and tree along the way.
