My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*BONDED WITH ROCKY (INDY-A-92) MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER*

Rocky and Rambo are a very special bonded pair who are searching for a calm, experienced adopter willing to go slow and let them settle in on their own timeline. These boys will need an adult-only home with no other pets, where patience and gentle encouragement are part of the daily routine. While they may be shy at first, their foster has watched them blossom with time, consistency, and kindness — and it’s been beautiful to see.

Rocky is the braver of the two and tends to lead the way. He quickly discovered that people can be pretty great, especially when tummy rubs are involved! He loves sitting beside his person, rolling over for belly rubs, and has even claimed a cozy spot on the bed at night. Rambo takes a little longer to trust, but once he feels safe, he follows Rocky’s lead and shows his sweet, gentle side. He has gone from hisses and distance to seeking pets, joining laps, and grooming his brother during cuddle time.

Together, they love exploring catwalks, playing with toys, enjoying catnip and Churu treats, and napping in cozy high-up spots. Their bond is strong — Rambo gains confidence from Rocky, and Rocky clearly adores having his brother nearby. Watching them grow braver each day has been incredibly rewarding for their foster, and they will thrive with someone who understands that trust takes time.

Rocky and Rambo aren’t looking for a busy household — they’re looking for their person. Someone patient, gentle, and willing to let their personalities unfold will be rewarded with two incredibly sweet, loyal companions who just need a little extra understanding to shine.

You can find up-to-date information on all of our available pets by visiting IndyHumane.org/Cats or IndyHumane.org/Dogs. Adopt-a-Pet is a third party site and not a source of reliable, updated information.

Our website is updated throughout each day, so if you see a pet on there that you are interested in, as long as their photo is on the website it means they are still available.
