My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maggie! This sweet and sensitive soul lived in a bubble in her previous home, meaning she wasn’t meeting a lot of new people or other animals. As a result, new environments and experiences can sometimes be scary! Maggie can be a slow burn while she’s first settling in, but once she’s comfortable, she has a lot of love to give (and likes to stomp her back feet when you pet her!). Maggie enjoys a good walk like any dog, but definitely likes to settle in at the end of the day for some quality couch time, or to work on her toys. She will likely do best in a lower-traffic home, where she can adjust at her own pace.

Maggie lived with a mellow small dog at one point, but doesn’t have a lot of practice meeting new dogs, and has been worried and avoidant when interacting with dogs while in our care. She might be able to go home with a well-matched dog friend with separation to start. She has no history living with cats.

Maggie has been through a few transitions recently, and may need a gentle start, but once she feels secure, she’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty!
