My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5754634 Travis is a 1-year-old male Labrador Retriever with a sleek black coat and the biggest, softest brown eyes. Weighing 78 lbs, Travis is still very much a “teen lab” — a big puppy with tons of potential and heart. Found as a stray on February 7, 2026, he’s quiet and well-behaved in his kennel, but you can see the spark in him just waiting for the right home to bring it out.

Travis is incredibly cute in person and has that classic Lab charm that makes him easy to love. Outside of the shelter, he has all the makings of a loyal, devoted companion — the kind of dog who truly earns the title of “man’s best friend.” With guidance, structure, and adventure, he’s ready to grow into an amazing partner. Travis is adoptable with a $50 trust deposit and is ready to go home today.

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
