My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m five years old, and I’ve been told I have a very “Rottie personality.” I’m not quite as bouncy as my BFF Hendrix, but don’t let that fool you. I absolutely know how to have fun 🤩 When we play, I make the cutest little grumbly noises. They sound dramatic, but I promise I’m just having the best time. It’s kind of my signature move.

I’m sweet. Like, really sweet 🍭 I love to lean into you with my whole body, like I’m trying to melt right through you. If you’re standing still for more than five seconds, I will gently press myself against you because being close is my favorite thing. Honestly, I’d prefer to just be wherever you are at all times.

Kennels? Not my favorite. I’d much rather be out with my people, thank you very much. I’m happiest when I can relax near you, keeping an eye on everything like the good girl I am 💕

I do have a very nice Rottie bark. It’s strong and confident. When I first see my foster dad, I bark to announce that I spotted him—very important. But once I realize it’s him, my whole body turns into wiggles. I can’t help it. I just get so excited ☺️

I’m more chill than Hendrix, but I still have my silly moments 🙃 I’ll play, zoom a little, and then settle down to soak up love 🥰 I’m good with kids and great with other dogs. I just want everyone to get along and feel safe.

You might notice I’m wearing a little T-shirt in some of my pictures 👚 That’s because I recently got spayed. I did have a cone, but let’s just say it didn’t survive 🫣—I may or may not have had help from Hendrix. We are a bonded pair after all. What’s his is mine, and what’s mine is apparently chewable. So now I rock the comfy shirt look instead ☺️

Speaking of that, I come with Hendrix. He’s my best friend, my playmate, my comfort. We balance each other perfectly. He brings the bounce, I bring the calm. He brings the chaos, I bring the steady lean. Together, we’re just right 💛

If you’re looking for loyal, loving, slightly dramatic but very devoted, I’m your girl. And if you’re looking for double the love, well… you already know we’re a package deal 📦

More about this rescue

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
