My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ashlyn is a chill, lovable, and spunky young cat who brings so much personality into a room. I rescued her from our local SPCA when she was just 6 weeks old, and she has grown into an affectionate companion who loves attention and being around people.

In August 2025, when Ashlyn was 11 months old, she experienced her first seizures. She was rushed to the emergency hospital for overnight care, and since then she has been under ongoing veterinary and neurology supervision. After months of medication adjustments, bloodwork, and specialist visits, she most likely has epilepsy. Her neurologist has recommended MRI and spinal tap to rule out other causes, but unfortunately those costs are beyond what I can manage.

Making this decision has been extremely difficult. As a full-time student working part-time, the financial responsibility of Ashlyn’s medical care has become more than I can sustain. I love her deeply, which is why I’m searching for a home where she can continue to thrive.
