My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, loyal subjects. My name is Princess — and yes, the name fits perfectly. I’m an independent royal who recently came to the shelter when my previous person sadly could no longer care for me due to their own health challenges. I lived quietly with one adult in an indoor-only home, where I ruled my kingdom peacefully as the one and only pet. I would describe myself as independent, playful, and very sure of what I like (and what I don’t). I enjoy affection — on my terms, of course. I’ll happily sit in your lap when I’m in the mood, and I do enjoy pets… but when I’ve had my fill, I simply get up and leave. A lady knows her boundaries. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, and I’ll let you know with a little hiss if I’m uncomfortable. Sometimes I may swat or hiss if I’m overstimulated — I just need someone who understands cat body language and respects when I say “that’s enough.” Around children, I’m usually tolerant, though I may prefer a calmer home where everyone understands that I like my personal space. If you’re looking for a playful, confident, indoor queen who will grace your lap when she chooses and entertain herself like true royalty, I may be your perfect match. I just need a patient, understanding human who appreciates an independent spirit.
