I’m 1.5 years old, and I’m looking for something really special — a safe, cozy forever home where I can finally relax and just be me.
When we first meet, I might be a little shy. New people can feel a bit overwhelming at first. But if you give me a little patience (and maybe a soft voice and a gentle hand), I promise I’ll show you who I really am. Once I warm up? Oh boy… I turn into a total lover. I’m sweet, affectionate, and very devoted to my people. I’m the kind of guy who will lean into you for pets and look at you like you hung the moon.
I walk pretty nicely on a leash, if I do say so myself. I like exploring the world — especially when I know I’m safe with you.
Now I need to tell you something important. Other dogs really scare me. I don’t want to fight or cause trouble — I actually try very hard to avoid them. But if a dog gets right up in my face and won’t give me space, I might try to defend myself to make the scary thing go away. I’m not looking for confrontation… I’m just looking for peace. My dream home would be dog-free, calm, and predictable, where I don’t have to worry about surprise nose-to-nose meetings.
Cats? I’m not totally sure yet. I`ve been known to bark at them before. Maybe best if they’re respectful and don’t rush me, I’d be willing to meet one and see how it goes.
Kids are okay too — as long as they’re calm and kind and understand that I’m a sensitive boy who needs gentle handling. Older calmer kids I would prefer.
What I really need is a loving human (or two or three) who will continue helping me build confidence through positive experiences and good socialization. Someone who understands that shy dogs aren’t broken — we just bloom a little slower. And when we do? We love with our whole hearts, and you`ll soon see my energetic, goofy, playful personality come out!
If you have a quiet home, a patient heart, and room on your couch for a sweet boy who just wants to feel safe… I think we might be perfect for each other.
Love, Tinky Winky
