My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tillie, the confident, social sister in a bonded pair who came into our care together. Tillie has a bright, outgoing personality, and her calm assurance is exactly what helps her shyer sister Maggie feel safe. These two share a deep, comforting bond, and Tillie's steady presence brings out Maggie's best.
Tillie and Maggie are looking for a quiet, low‑stress home where they can stay together. Because of Maggie's dependence on Tillie for confidence, the sisters must be adopted as a pair. They will thrive in a household without other animals or small children, where their gentle, affectionate natures can shine.
If you're hoping to welcome a loving duo into your life-one bold, one tender, both deeply connected-Tillie and Maggie may be the perfect match

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
