My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head.

We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old.

Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body.

After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home.

Despite his age, he is very playful and active. We do not recommend very young children with him as he can play a little bit rough at times.

Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats!

He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home!

Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved on everyday and all day.

He does NOT mark.

Azul will be neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport.

To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org

This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We do adopt in Central US and the East Coast.

The adoption fee listed INCLUDES transport from Texas to the location where this animal is posted in.

Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks
Albany, NY
Wells and Brattleboro, VT
Willington, Enfield, New Haven and Dayville, CT
Port Chester, NY
Dayon and Akron, OH
Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA
Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ
White Marsh and Falls Church, MD

We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home.

Go meet their pets

We are based in Edinburg, Texas but we do have foster homes in areas such as NH, NJ, PA, MD, VA and Connecticut. Some animals will be available to physically meet first with an approved application, and others can be met via a video chat/face time with the foster. We are hoping to hold events in pet stores once we become more established.

More about this rescue

PI Animal Rescue is a small organization that is here to help animals all around the US, but based in Edinburg, Texas. Edinburg, Texas and surrounding towns have some of the highest kill shelters in the United States, where hundreds of animals are euthanized due to illness, space, owner surrenders, etc. We are to pull animals from those shelters, move them into foster homes, vet them, and find them their forever homes. We do it not because the animals need us, and we want to be a voice for the voiceless.
