This helps Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue with pet care costs.
Summer is a fun-loving, energetic 3-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a bold, outgoing personality and a big love for life. True to his Catahoula roots, he’s intelligent, alert, and always ready for the next adventure. He’s a little more active and social, happily bouncing around the yard, engaging with his foster siblings, and eagerly checking out everything happening around him.
Still very much in his puppy phase, Summer can be mouthy and will need consistent redirection to help him learn appropriate play habits. Like many smart working-breed pups, he benefits from structure, positive reinforcement, and plenty of engaging toys to keep his busy mind occupied. With guidance and consistency, he’ll quickly learn what’s acceptable — he just needs someone committed to teaching him.
Summer absolutely loves chasing after a ball and already shows signs that he’ll grow into a great fetch partner. His enthusiasm and drive make playtime especially fun, and he’ll likely thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise and interactive activities.
He’s doing well with kennel training and sleeps soundly at night, especially with something soft to snuggle. He may still need an occasional overnight potty break, which is normal for his age. He’s learning to potty outside and understands how to use a doggie door — a great foundation for continued house training.
Summer would do best in an active home ready for a smart, loyal, and spirited companion. With continued training, structure, and plenty of play, this handsome boy is going to grow into an amazing, devoted best friend.
