Spontaneous and gregarious with his favorite people, Orpheus is a gentle soul whose handsome good looks are just the first part of who he is. Though he can be tentative with new people, with assurance, Orphy quickly learns to come out for pets, to chase a good wand toy, and to share a squeezable treat with his soulmate, Roman. He has a unique trilling purr that he'll show you around dinner time, and wants us to remind you that he's a fearsome hunter who will protect you from any small prey (though he's only practiced on toys so far). He's a huge fan of cheek scritches and catnip toys, and loves to roll up right next to you for affection.
Orpheus was known to his outdoor caretaker as an "indestructible," but as his fellow colony cats came indoors with various ailments and injuries, it was clear we needed to get Orphy inside, too. Just a few days after his boyfriend, Roman, entered through his caretaker's window with a ruptured eye and never looked back, Orpheus followed. We would love to find these two boys a home together, where they can live out their days in comfort and luxury. (See Roman's listing for his story and bio!)
Orpheus is approximately 3 years old, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is negative for FeLV and FIV. He has been dewormed and treated for fleas.
