My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’ve been dreaming of a tiny, squishy sidekick with a big personality, Benji is your guy! This absolutely adorable 7-year-old nugget weighs just 14 lbs of pure love (with a little extra chub that only makes him cuter).

Benji is super sweet and friendly with everyone he meets. He loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine buddy, but he’s also perfectly happy soaking up attention from his people. Don’t let his compact size fool you — this little guy LOVES to run and play! He gets the cutest zoomies and has a playful spirit that will keep you smiling.

He’s the perfect mix of fun and cuddly, ready to snuggle up after playtime and be your loyal little shadow.

Benji is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines — all ready for his forever home. If you’re looking for a tiny, chubby, sweet-as-can-be best friend, Benji is waiting for you!

More about this rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily volunteer run, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high-kill shelters. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs. We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.
