My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pet Location: Angie is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.

My friends at Wayside say:
- My foster mom says I love to cuddle once I warm up!
- I prefer to coexist with other dogs.
- I have successfully lived with cats!

My home needs are:
- Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.
- Wayside recommends no apartments or shared living spaces for me! I like to use my voice when I am excited.

Hi there, I’m Angie! I’m such a good dog. I try my best never to cause any trouble at all. I’m sweet, smart, playful, and tons of fun. And I love hanging out with my people more than anything else in the whole world. Sure, it might take me a little extra time to settle in and to get comfortable with you, but once we bond, you’ll find that I’m an affectionate and lovely little gal. I hope to be your constant companion and your little shadow. I hope you want that too! I’d love to be your dog.

I’m a darling, 3-year-old, 30-pound Cocker Spaniel mix, with soft fur, gentle eyes, a sweet smile, and a happy, charming, delightful personality. I’m even already housebroken. I came to Wayside when my previous owner was no longer able to care for me. I miss her. Sadly, I felt anxious, stressed, worried, and so alone at the big shelter. Foster Mom noticed that I was struggling, so she jumped into action, taking me home to help me relax until I can find my new family. Ah, just what I needed. Life is good again.

The first couple days in my foster home were scary and confusing, so Foster Mom let me go at my own pace, never pushing me into things I wasn’t ready for. This helped to put me at ease, and within just a few days I was a different dog, although some things still startle me, like the bubbler in the fancy water bowl. Ha! Typically, though, instead of being afraid, now that I’ve settled in, I am happy and excited and silly and fun. I love to enthusiastically welcome Foster Mom home from work, never failing to make her smile. I haven’t had any accidents, and there is no need for me to stay in a crate because I am so well behaved. I can be trusted to roam free in the house even when no one is home. I don’t bother a single thing. At night, I get to choose where to sleep, often selecting the couch, a dog bed, or at the foot of Foster Mom’s bed. I love to be brushed or groomed, which is good
