Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kirk. Kirk is a gentle, affectionate boy whose loving nature really shines once he feels safe. He loves being close to his people - whether that’s snuggling beside you on the couch or curling up at night with his head propped sweetly on your leg. Kirk has the cutest way of communicating too, making soft little “prrrrt” sounds throughout the day instead of full meows.
He enjoys playtime, welcomes affection all over (including belly rubs) and has done well with another cat after a thoughtful, slow introduction.
Kirk would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a deeply affectionate companion who truly just wants to share love and closeness.

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
