Kitty was surrendered due to owner moving and is reported to have been an indoor-only cat. Since intake, she has been observed to be significantly shut down in the shelter environment. She is minimally responsive, avoids interaction, and displays signs of elevated stress, including decreased appetite and inappropriate elimination (not using the litter box). Handling has been limited due to her fear level. Kitty would benefit from immediate placement in a quiet, low-stimulation home or rescue setting where she can decompress, reestablish routine, and receive patient, supportive care.
