SIMON SEZ "GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!" Handsome Simon is only 4 or 5 years old and in purrrfect health even tho he tested FIV+. FIV is only spread via very deep bite wounds (think: tomcats fighting over territory or females); they can live long normal lives like any other cat.
SIMON SEZ gets along wonderfully with all the cats but he's not forward enough to push to the front of the line when adopters visit; he's usually curled up in a comfy bed and will look your way but most folks walk by. As weeks roll by, SIMON has given up hope of a warm lap or loving touch ever again. It is so sad to watch him sink further and further into the background.
If you want a cat who is super loving and wants you for more than opening up food cans cuz they don't have opposable thumbs, you want Simon! If you want love and comfort from a heartfelt purr, you want Simon! If you're not sure but would like to try him out, we are willing to let him go to the right home on a FOSTER basis; we just want him to get love again -- he wants to love and be loved, not languish in a corner at the shelter. Adoption donations are $110 for cats and kittens unless otherwise stated - depending on age and physical condition of the cat (some of our kitties are "Special Needs" cats which may need particular care or go to a specific home environment.) A standard adoption application and agreement must be completed. Most importantly is to have a vet reference so we know the kitty will get essential annual and emergency care. A plastic cat carrier must be brought along when you pick up your new friend. For your and its safety, we do not allow them to be carried out in arms. **This applies to our cats only - Courtesy Listing cats are handled strictly per Listing person's stipulations; all future dealings are with the Listing person!**

This year's SIXTH ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER is going to be bigger & better than ever!! Saturday, OCTOBER 17, 3pm - 7pm, at Greek (Olympia) Hall, 1575 Electric Avenue, in East Pittsburgh!! Tons of chinese auction baskets, raffles, and that fantastic home-made spaghetti sauce accompanied by a bake sale!

Kopy Kat is comprised of a group of people who love cats and are saddened by the plight of strays, ferals, and the unpunished abuse of housepets. We use our own money to care for our kitties. Many of our cats were deemed unadoptable by other shelters because they are too shy, but we have many friendly ones, too. We are beyond our planned capacity and cannot take in additional pets because, although it deeply distresses us, overcrowding will jeopardize the health of all of them and serve no good purpose. We can direct you to area organizations if you need trapping or spay/neuter assistance. VISIT US ON FACEBOOK!!!!
