Riven is a handsome boy with a quiet confidence and a heart full of love. He can be a bit timid at first and may need some extra time to feel comfortable in a new environment, but beneath that shy exterior is a deeply loyal and affectionate companion just waiting to shine.
This sweet guy enjoys a good balance of play and relaxation. He’ll happily chase a wand toy or bat around a ball, but he truly thrives in calm, cozy moments—lounging in a sunny window, keeping you company while you work, or settling in for gentle evening cuddles. Riven has a sensitive soul and would do best in a patient, understanding home that lets him adjust at his own pace.
Riven is approximately 2-3 years old. His adoption fee is $150, plus tax.
If you are interested in meeting him, please call the shelter at 320-759-2260.
Included in his adoption fee is:
Feline Leukemia/FIV/Heartworm Test
Feline Distemper 3-way Vaccination

More about this shelter
The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens. These citizens wished to make a difference for the animals in our community and opened their homes to foster stray and unwanted animals. To help define their purpose, these dedicated people created the following mission statement; “The mission of the Lakes Area Humane Society is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.”
The Lakes Area Humane Society provides many valuable services to our community. Some of our services include:
Ø impounding strays,
Ø assisting local law enforcement in abuse/neglect investigations,
Ø educating the public on spay/neuter programs to help reduce the number of unwanted pets,
Ø teaching the importance of appropriate pet care and training,
Ø providing shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them,
Ø reuniting lost pets with their owners, and
Ø facilitating adoptions of homeless animals to pet owners seeking life-long companions.
